I bought this program in 2003 Thinking it would back up my purchased dvd,s. It won't. Is there any program that will assist me in getting past the copy protection and still be able to use my dvd x copy platinum?

you can try AnyDVD by Slysoft! Go to their website and get the 21 day trial and check it out. Many members love it. DVDXCopy hasn't been updated for ages now and if you run AnyDVD in the background it should work just fine. http://www.slysoft.com/en/

you could also use DVD43, which is similar to AnyDVD that it works in the background to take out the copy protection and then use Xcopy to burn. http://www.dvd43.com/ but some members say it conflicts with other programs or is finicky and needs a reboot to get it to work properly in their systems..... others love it. .... it's free and worth a try!

enjoy......... and when you're ready for other programs there are many here to find out about! Welcome to AfterDAwn

You can try AnyDVD with the program it may or may not work, however DVD43 may cause problems. DVD43 gave me the BSOD when trying it with Xcopy.

Also, try over here for Xcopy info and questions,
