Registered & Licensced user of DVD X Copy Platinum since Nov. 2003. Using release 3.0.4, last one available prior to their legal problems.

I use one DVD burner: Lite On 411s with latest FS0K firmware.

Was using Express the most but recently wanted a better quality copy of a disc & tried to use DVD X Copy after months of not using.

Program copies the DVD then when program would normally ask for a blank DVD I get the following two pop up error panels:

    First Error:
CANNOT OPEN CD-R INTERFACE. SELECTED INTERFACE TYPE NOT SUPPORTED.
I then click on OK button & next error appears:

    Second Error Message:
CAN'T FIND A DVD BURNER. COPY WILL BE CANCELLED
I then have to click on OK button again to end.

Under Options, I have tried changing from Gearworks to NERO since I have Nero Ultra 6.6.0.3 using NeroVision 3.0.1.14

When I select Nero as the burn engine, I thought I was OK, went & burned a completed disc that cannot be read anywhere!

I can only open the completed disc with Windows Explorer & see Audio and Video folders with a bunch of files in the folders!

I also tried a copy clicking the "Alternate Player Compatibility Mode" under Nero and wound up with the same problem... a completed disc with nothing but files that won't play in any DVD player.

I have completely removed the entire DVD X Copy Platinum programs from my PC, then re-installed again using release 3.0.4 download that I had saved on my PC.

Same problem only with X Copy, not X Copy Express.

Anyone in AfterDawn-land run into these issues?
Suggestions on what else to try?

    Thanks!

Look in the program files menu and in the xcopy menu should be the "drive select" button. Selecting this will give you the option to select the appropriate drive. Now, if clicking on the drive select option appears to do nothing, try another burn, drive select may have discovered your drive and sometimes it wont give notice. Also, use RW's until the issue is resolved.
    Luck!
