I am trynig to burn movies with DVD Xcopy and DVD43 on the new XP 64-bit platform. DVD 43 does not run on the 64-bit O.S.
I cannot find a decryptor that runs in the background like DVD 43 and works with XP 64-bit.
    Any suggestions.

The latest version of Anydvd has been re-written to work with the 64 bit system. However it isn't free. I think the price is $39. by itself or $59. as a package with Clonedvd 2. It works the same as DVD43. 21 day trial download to try it out.

We might add that while DVD43 is free there are some discs it cannot rip while AnyDVD can rip every disc out there :)

    Cheers,

I installed AnyDVD and tried to burn a few movies. DVD Xcopy comes back and tells me that the movie is CSS encrypted and cannot continue. The AnyDVD icon is running in the system tray. I don't know why it won't work.

Which version are you using? The 64 bit re-write was version 5. and above. The latest update is 5111 on Slysofts site. AD has version 5121 but I think it's still a beta version since its not on the Slysoft site.

BSchuth i had that happen a number of time with DVD X Copy ,what you will have to do is uninstall X Copy and reinstall it.but if i was you i would think about using other programs to rip and burn since X Copy is outdated and WILL NEVER be updated since 321 studios is out of bussiness.

BSchuth since your using anydvd try using DVDClone2 or Intervideo DVDCopy3 (which iam using) while running anydvd in the background the quality is much better than X Copy and very easy to use.

Are there instructions on how to use any of these programs available?

since you are already using anydvd i assume you dont need a guide ,its runs in the background and you really dont have to do ANYTHING but put the disc in and let anydvd read it and your are ready to go.as fas as Intervideo DVDCopy3 here is a link http://www.intervideo.com/jsp/InterVideoDVDCopy_Profile.jsp you can download it and try it for like 14 days BEFORE you pay for it its very easy to use even for newbies. heres a guide for the other programs alot of us use on here too. http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/index.html try it out and lets us know how its going . Happy burning !!

You can find most of the basic guides off the [bold]GUIDE[/bold] tab at the page top. Then there are better versions of some guides off ScubaPete's site at this link.
