    Hi
I have 2 computers and both have dvd x on them...1 computer can read a dvd in about 20 minutes and other one in about an hour...does anyone have an idea why one takes 20 minutes and other an hour???
Could there be a program that is causing it to slow down the reading process??

Are both computers exactly the same? Thing like RAM, CPU, bus speed and other programs that maybe open can effect the process.

Things like anti-spyware and virus programs can cause major differences.

    Hi
Well i have a laptop and a PC and as i said both have DVD X on it and the PC has more power then laptop. But it use to be the laptop that read and burn movies faster then PC.Now laptop is slow and PC is fast. They both have the same anti-virus and programs...I put same movie in and tried reading them and burning the dvd.Took an Hour and half on laptop and 40 minutes on PC.use to be other way around.
maybe there is a program stopping it form working probably.Have to see whats running in back ground i guess...Is there any way of turning off back ground programs??
