A FRIEND OF MY LET ME BORROW SHREK 3 SO I'M USING DVD SRHINK AND I'M RUNNING VISTA BUT I'M HAVING A PROBLEM PLAYING THE DVD ON MY DVD PLAYER. EVERYTHING CAME OUT RIGHT (BACKING IT UP AND BURNING IT WITH NERO 8) IS JUST THAT WHEN I PUT INTO THE DVD PLAYER I CAN'T PLAY IT AND WHEN I PUT MY FRIEND DVD IT DOES PLAY,THE ONLY DIFFERENCE THAT IS SEE ON THE DVD DISC IS THAT HE'S IS DVD+R AND MY IS NOT IS DVD-R AT THE BEGINNING I THOUGH IT WAS THE SETTING UNDER REGION BUT DVD SHRINK AUTOMATICALLY SET UP ON REGION FREE AND I DON'T HAVE ANY IDEA ON WHAT THE PROBLEM IF YOU CAN HELP I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT
Please turn off the 'Caps Lock'. If your friends disk is DVD+R, it's a burned disk and burned disks don't have any region coding, so that should be ok. The fact that it's burned also means that it has no protection, so Nero can be used to perform a 'DVD Copy' function without complications (and DVD Shrink need not be used at all, unless there was some other purpose). I assume you have no problems burning and playing other DVD's, so if you are burning the disk at a moderate speed (4x) on consistently reliable media (Verbatim) then it may just be bad luck.
You don't have to SHOUT we're right here. And btw standalone players, depending on their age and compatibility, can be media sensitive.
