load the dvd9 now to dvd shrink then burn with nero (set nero in dvd shrink settings) it will use the burn engine
u can split it but y do u wanna do that 4... u can shrink it and u will not loose quality as such ive been doin it for months and i have not lost any quality and this is over 50 burns soo fat soo take the advice of mine and the other person and shrink it. It does the job great
Yeah man go with shrink at first I thought the same but its a great program. A tip - (if you want better results on the quality of the movie, well on shrink you'll see Menu, Main Movie, and extras. What you should try to do is go to custom ratio for menu and extras and lower the percentage and it'll boost the percentage on Main Movie.)Dont want to take all the credit learned it from Afterdawn, a great guide. Its one of the most popular guides you won't miss it.
if you dont want to mess around with dvd shrink, try using nero recode or my choice clonedvd2, dvd shrink is outdated, and the quality is not as good as clonedvd2
If you want the best quality when encoding, you need to use Rebuilder with Cinema Craft Encoder. It only encodes (fits the files to the target media). You'll need decryption software such as DVD Decrypter and AnyDVD as well as a burner. The free DVD Decrypter will do the decryption. Most of the name recording suites have a burner that will work. Check it out at http://www.dvd-rb.com . There's support threads for RB here at AD. If you want good and fast, the DVDCopy3 from Intervideo does an excellent job. I've tried many of the transcoders on the market and that is the one I use when not using RB. http://www.intervideo.com They have a full function trial, so you don't need to take my word for it. The app has a burner, so all you need is a decrypter. The driver type AnyDVD from Slysoft http://www.slysoft.com or the free DVD Decrypter can be used. Slysoft has a full function trial of the AnyDVD. So you can set up and try the best. No need to take my word for it, the results are what count and it's no cost to try it. If you really want to go through splitting to 2 discs, Fengtao has the DVDFab software. The link is http://www.dvdidle.com . It compresses as well. I've not used this one enough to comment on it yet. In the past I've not been impressed with the Fengtao software. If free is what you want, then DVD Shrink does a decent job, especially if you use the Quality Settings which were intended for better results at higher compression. With ISO selected and DVD Decrypter as the supported burner, the burner can be free as well. The only flaw I've seen with Shrink is that the contrast can be off a bit. Most of the time you have to know what you're looking for to notice it though.
