I have ripped most of my King crimson 40th anniversary set to flac/wave hi res for my DAP

But starless and bible black will not rip anything other than the main tracks , i can not
for the life of me get any of the extras etc to even be seen let alone rip them

Ive tried foobar/DVDA explorer/DVDA extractor trial

If i didnt care about quality , i can just use VLC and record and save individual tracks
i can very easily choose tracks ,but i do care about quality

Can some one please advise me on how to rip this dvda in hi res with all the extras etc

    Cheers

Not sure what dvda is(googled a little bit and it sounds like audio tracks put onto a dvd) but have you tried ripping them with dvdfab? http://www.dvdfab.com/hd-decrypter.htm

If you can rip them using VLC, try saving each track as .wav(uncompressed). This should get you the closest to the original as you can(with little to no loss(but you will have large files). Then recode them with your favorite encoder( I use nero to recode them as mp3pro) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mp3PRO

DVD-A is dvd audio , by now im certain u know as much as me,as im new to it( 1st thing i noticed when i seen one was , hey the AUDIO_TS folder has files in it , ive never seen that till a few months ago,and for years wondered why only VIDEO_TS had files in it

I ve not tried dvdfab ,i shall , BUT i have tried vlc , but cannot suss how to save anything as uncompressed wave ,i always get some lesser than original files ,BUT if it was possibe(can it still save as 24 bit as well?) ,it will be so easy , just pick and save tracks i want . How do i set vlc to do such as wave tho ?

PS the files are 24/96 hi res files , id like to keep them as such

    Cheers

You cannot rip a DVDA with a Video_TS ripper.
All the apps mentioned here are for the VIDEO_TS content, not the AUDIO_TS.

BTW - all the KC titles in the 40th anniversary series have content in the AUDIO_TS.
