I saw Lynxy's post on June 16th but never a reply to this problem. I have a Sony DRU-530A, operating on Windows XP, and I have yet to burn a movie. I get the same error... "Could not complete the last command because: Could not make a thumbnail. Make sure you have the appropriate decoder installed. (DVDErr, -47010)" I installed K-Lite Codec Pack 2.27 Full which helped with an earlier codec problem but can't seem to find any fix for this. Any ideas?

Flip218 I'm trying to burn movies... avi movies are all I have and none will work. I've used the burner to do pictures, so it's not a question of the burner working. I'm using the MyDVD software that came with it. Everything starts OK, when I add a movie by clicking "Get Movies" it shows that it's processing, then adding, then creating the movie, then I get this error "Could not complete the last command because: Could not make a thumbnail. Make sure you have the appropriate decoder installed. (DVDErr, -47010)". Thanks for any help you can give.

The avi movies that I have are from DVMovies.com. The size of the files is approximately 715,000 KB on each. These aren't large files, I can put them on a CD but I don't want to have to watch them on the computer. I had wanted a of the DVDs I already have so that my kids can watch in their own rooms.
