dvdfab not ripping some latest dvd's

Some new dvd’s are now confusing dvd rippers such as DVDFAB by have 10-15 versions of film on directory structure – magic for 60gb in dvd and can only compress to 10-20%
even when taking main movie option

    My Solution:-

Need to find title of main movie – used nero to find title – was 65 for The Fighter

Used dvdshrink which also fails with cyclic redundancy check but finds the directory structure successfully

Used re-author function to place title 65 in “dvd” pane. Used backup function to save to hard disk. Can now use nero to burn or dvdfab

Used same procedure to "backup" True Grit

    Same procedure for extras/special features

Any other solutions to this new trick by dvd producers ?

I think this was discussed at the time the Star Trek movie came out.
Depending on the region, it was a different Title.
You play the movie in the likes of MPC it lists the title number that is playing.
In this case (North America) it was Title 21 that you ripped.

Ok, I just backed it up Title 18 and the whole movie wasn't there. Any ideas?

AnyDVD beta 6.8.0.8 uses title 18 as just movie also says its length is 1:50:13 if that helps any. Movie worked fine.

I just saw they released a beta version of DVDfab 8.0.9.7 here's the link....

    http://www.dvdfab.com/mlink/download.php?g=DVDFAB_BETA

This has fixed the True Grit problem, at least thats what their web site says.
