If I'm reading DVDFab correctly, it decrypts, shrinks, and burns. Is this all true? And if so, why would you use Shrink for anything again? Am I misunderstanding what DVDFab does?

Yes, you are correct. DVDFab will handle the entire process if that is the way that you want to go. DVDShrink is not updated any longer, but many people like to remove items from a movie before they do their final transcode. DVDShrink is still one of the best transcoders available. Another form of DVDShrink is called Nero Recode2, which is designed by the creator of DVDShrink.

In a nutshell, use shrink on everything. When shrink doesn't work, use
the latest version of DVDFab. The latest DVD that shrink could not rip was Disney's UP. Using the HD option, I was able to rip the main movie but was not successful with the menus. Use shrink to reduce your fab file to 4.35G Simple :)

Thanks everyone. Not to hijack this thread, but reference UP, I couldn't back up my copy. I read the UP discussion, but it had numerous titles in UP identified as the main movie. Do you recall which one it actually was for you with which you had sucess with Fab HD? Thanks again.
