Hey guys, I was looking to purchase DVDfab because I tried it and really liked it. I went to their site again today and looked at their products and it seems that you can buy it...but there's different versions. In the demo it seems to give access to all of them, my questions is, if I were to buy the Blu-Ray to Blu-Ray version, would it allow me to also rip dvd's?
Don't know but for that cost, I'd hope so; I'm guessing with the most expensive version, you get all and the demo support's that. A demo doesn't contain's more feature's than the Registered version, that I've seen. If Blu-Ray isn't a concern, go with DVD to DVD or ask their support. You could ask here too: http://club.cdfreaks.com/ Edit: this thread implies it does: http://club.cdfreaks.com/f173/dvdfab-blu-ray-blu-ray-updates-276979/
Actually I delved a bit deeper into the site and unfortunately it seems to be ~$80 for just a 2 yr license of DVD to DVD which sort of sucks since every part of the program has a different cost...
Also, have a read thru the last 4 or so pages of this one ~ http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/583712
I see a 2 year liccence to DVD to DVD for just under $58.00 US and Blu-Ray to Blu-Ray for $72.00 assuming no exchange; why not just use DVDFabHDDecrypter, it's free and very good as I understand.
The free version will decrypt every dvd available but doesn't shrink to fit in one dvd. The paid version will decryt and shrink every dvd available, plus it can also convert to xvid and other formats. The free version is used by many people who only want to rip dvd's, you can then use the free dvdshrink to shrink them to fit in a dvd. If you just want to rip and convert to xvid, Use dvdfab to rip into an ISO, then use fairuse wizard lite to convert the ISO into an xvid. I admit there website is confusing with all the different options.
As per my last post, the Official DVDfab Release thread is here ~ http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/583712 and the latest version is 6.0.2.2
i was wondering how to get my dvdfab 5 to copy the dvd in 1 single, entire format? ie-i'm not real tech savvy, but i want to know how to avoid the dvd being copied into several different chapters? thanks
Go to the program, on the left click on DVD to Mobile, click generic, select the title you want. If it's a movie, default should do, just click next. On the next screen, click conversion settings, at the top left click generic and change to .vob, click finish/ok and then start. Sorry was doing it from memory
That's what I do and seems to work without problems, Japanese dvd's with subtitles threw me off though lol
