I know people don't want to see this again. i'm another one of those people that need help with the background music. So far I have seen threads, people talking, original person figures it out but doesn't explain it. I wasted 4 days not eating and talking to anyone and I need help bad. So DVDlab let me import wav files. If there is an issue with the 44.1 it transacribes it into 48mhz. Cool. So then all I have to do is click and drag that file from the assest menu into the MENU aka vts root, with the background with my bmp or jpg set and then it should be listed in the green audio bar (which is the bar underneath the motion bar) and it should show up in the MENU properties "Menu Playback" Audio. And it does. I watched the short movie complie. But when I open the result no audio in the background. The timeout stuff works fine. My audio wav file is 57 sec long and that what I put in the Duration for Menu Playback. No audio. Its goes to Force activate button fine. Why can't I hear it? Someone please help. Thanks
Oh yeah the DVDlab version is the lastest trial that I downloaded from Cnet. I used this and Tmpgenc and Tsunami. I can't get anything to work.
It happened to me on my first project that I imported an MP3 file to be played as background music and later on when I burnt the disc instead I heard pure noise. That is because MP3 is not 100% compliant with DVD specifications... Backgound music on DVDLab Pro: you need to drag the music file onto the Menu and it will say it'll create an action menu. Once you accept it should appear at the bottom an audio stream, which you can select its properties on the box at the right
Hey thanks for responding. The file I had was a wav file not mp3. It did originate via mp3 but I used some converter to change it to wav. Also the funny thing is DVDlab has some music file already pressne tin mp2 format. But those don't work either. I know the music file is there cause when I drag and drop it into the menu, I see a "music note" in the connections view, and the actual file in the audio stream from the menu 1 view. It is also in the properties (menu properties) on the right. It compiles but when I use the windows media player or some dvd player still no sound. Is my properties settings off? Is there some mute or volume button. I am the only one that is scratching my head. This should be an easy process. I know its just a matter of having the right music file format. I used wav and mp2. I click on the audio stream source and it plays right before I compile it. Any more hints?
Did You converted the file to 48 KHz? I used winamp to convert mp3 44KHz to wav 48KHz and everything was ok.
