Hi everyone, my name is sky and I am a wedding videographer. I need to fix this problem as soon as possible.

PROBLEM - Nero is creating skipping in the audio of dvd videos

    BACKGROUND INFO

Information you may need to help me.
Windows XP, dual core processor amd 2700
4 gig ram, good graphics card, 2 x liteon dvd burners.

    Video is WMV files..
I have the problem whether I create the files in premiere, movie maker, or final cut pro.

My video files are not the problem. As data/ wmv files on my pc when I watch them they play perfectly without problems

I have 2 dvd burners. One is used all the time,a nd the other is seldom used. I have tried the newer burner but the same problem.

I use Nero 6.5 as I have found Nero 7 causes many problems with my codecs.

I uninstalled Nero 6.5, and installed Nero 7.
Nero 7 actually fixed the problem BUT caused a bigger problem!

Instead of a 2 hour dvd having audio skipping 2-4 times during the dvd.. this problem was gone
BUT the new problem was worse. Now the audio on the dvd MENU was skipping.. and much worse and more obvious.. Like a scratched cd repeating and skipping and stuttering.

I uninstalled (system restore) back to Nero 6.5
Same initial problem. The audio skips in a few places.

It is not my video files, and it is not my burner.
I use Nero to encode and author my dvds.
I believe Nero is the root of the problem based on what happened when I changed from nero 6.5 to Nero 7.

Does nero 8 fix this issue?
I am reluctant to spend $200 on more software if it might not fix the problem.
    Thanks everyone.

    I AM DESPERATE!

Does the final cut of the video play fine when played straight from your hardrive or is it only when you’ve burned it to disk and the audio skips etc when played from the disk?

    Hey
as i said in the initial message.. there is nothing wrong with my final video.

    Nero creates the audio skipping.
I also mentioned that when I installed Nero 7 the skipping went away.. BUT instead their was MAJOR bad skipping on the menu page.

I am desperate to resolve this issue cheers

Don’t think you understood my question does the audio skip in the video Nero created when played from a DVD-r you’ve burned too; or does it skip when played from your hardrive say in windows media player or power DVD?
