Hi Folks, I have just made a 60 minute long institutional DVD-R using Premiere Pro, Adobe Encore and burnt it Nero Express 6 using a Sony DRU 710A burner. I have just burnt 23 DVD’s All 23 of these DVD’s have been tested and play well in a several set top DVD’s players – Panasonic, Pioneer, Momitsu. 20 of them play in PC’s, some of them “freeze”, but only for a second or so, then play normally. 3 of them “freeze” permanently in PC’s, usually at the same point on the DVD. The 3 DVD’s that freeze are made by LG, Iomega and another make (can’t see because of the label) The 20 that play OK are made up from DVD’s from these same makes, and Smart Buy, (also says “Made by Pro Disc” on the Smart Buy DVD) So, my question is: 1 - Why do some DVD’s freeze when played back on a PC’s and not on set top machines? 2 - What can I do to avoid this from happening in the future? Cheers Mike
Sounds Like either Burn errors and/Or Useing Crappy Media... I suggest that you Burn your DVD"s at half the DVD"s Rated Burn speed as to lessen any Burn errors on the Disk....
