I have used a variety of progroms to rip and burn a number of movies. When I view them on my home DVD system, they work great, then all of a sudden, they stall, skip and at time stop playing. I believe there are errors in the disk or I missed some protection. I did slow down the speed that I was burning the DVD's, did not use any other programs on my computer with similiar results. I have had a few DVD's work well, but most I have encountered problems. I am using some discount disks, and I intend to get some better ones but is there the chance that this is some form of copy protection that places errors on the disk?
no (copy protection) this means ur not supposed to be able to copy it doesent have anything to do with burning. get some good media--verbatim,ty yuden,or sony. try burning at 4x if that doesnt work try 2.4x. some media just isnt good for video.
thanks for the advice, I was not sure of what type of DVD's to buy, I will try one of those you suggested.
Also you may be able to go to manufacture website of your burner and get the disks they recommend. You may have to experiment with +R and -R disks with your player, Personaly I like Apex there cheap and with my experiance they will play anything you put in them. Good Luck Spacedust
