Hey-I have a LITEON 16x DVD ROM and it has not been causing me any major problems until recently. I use a combination of Dvd decrypter to decrypt, dvd shrink, then dvd decrypter to burn. The whole process is completed but when I play the dvd's they skip then freeze. I have tried them in a few dvd players with the same result. I am at a loss. Some titles were: Hide & Seek The Pacifier Constantine Million Dollar Baby If anybody can help< I would be so grateful
The most common causes would be media and burn speed. Try rip a regular movie to harddisk with Decrypter (file mode), then check the video to see if it plays o.k.. If so, burn to dvd with lower speed (e.g. 2-4x). O.K., good; not o.k., probably media problem. You may use a rw for test. Authoring with Shrink should not pose any problem, so you may leave that until you've sorted things out. Good luck!
