We have an LG DVD player (DRD8120B) and it started intermittedly having difficulty playing DVDs but now it won't play any - commerically bought DVDs. Any suggestions? Thanks
It seems to suggest the laser may have gone. If the player won't read any dvd's at all than it is the laser. If the player is old, more than 2 years and has been played alot, it may be worth your while to invest in a new one. To get the laser replaced it can cost more than buying a new player. The new divx dvd player's are quite cheap around £60 new, for a good one from Amazon, and they will play almost any format including picture cd's and dvd's. If you download films from the internet, from a members paid site, these players will play divx and mpeg movies as well as Pal. I hope this helps..
