I am getting really frustrated..... In about 2 months of trying and trying, I have only successfully copied 1 dvd with dvdxcopy, Chickenrun. This was on a Nashua DVD-R. Tried to copy several other dvd's: Matrix, Gladiator, Gone in 60 Seconds, Pulp Fiction. I have a Pioneer A05 dvd-r burner. I tried DVD-R and DVD-RW, Nashua, Imation and Princo. Every time I get the message, no matter how many different discs I try: disc error, bad sectors discovered, suggested that you backup all data, bla bla. And the copy cancelles. I put in other discs but nothing changes. I do not get these messages when I use Nero, Instant Copy and such. Media burns fine, only I do not get it working on my dvdplayer (Philips MX3800D) even though I followed all the guides I could find on doom9, afterdawn e.g. So I want to use DVDXCopy because Chickenrun works fine and I am not doing anything different! The only thing different is that all these movies need 2 discs because of the size and Chickenrun fitted on 1 disc. What is this, a DVDXCopy problem or media?? Anyone who can tell me how to fix this would be very welcome. Yes I tried all guides, followed them step by step!!!
As many people already know, I'm not a fan of DVDXCopy. I use: DVD Decrypter to rip DVD2one to reconpile Stomp RecordNow to burn. (many people use Nero here) I have yet to have a problem.
I did that too but, as you say, with Nero. It doesn't work. Readable on pc not but on the standalone dvdplayer. I'll try RecordNowMax to see if it is better! Nothing else needs to be done than just DVD decrypter to rip and DVD2One to make it all work again? Thanx.
I think you want to point out that my dvd player is not compatible? But I ripped and burned Chickenrun and it is working fine! With DVD-RW and DVD-R. The manual also says compatible with + and -, with R and RW. Already sent a message to the site that it does work for me.
Might be a good idea to check blank media compatibilaty with your Pioneer. Not sure of your model but there is a lot of blank media that wont work with some of the Pioneeer burners. Also try to re-install Xcopy by first uninstalling old version and make sure all traces of old installation is cleared. Use something like regcleaner etc. Hope this will help. Must confess I prefer same route as ken0042 it works magic.
