    HI THERE.

does anyone know of, or used these 2 s/ware programs.
    1. dvdXtreme $99
    2. gamesXcopy $59
    both supplied by www.321studios.com
im very interested to know how they rate, as ive read some review saying they would be one of the best programs for what they are intended for, can anyone help with some expert advice.
please if u have never used them b4, could you refrain from giving opinions, it just adds unwanted remarks, and im thinking that if u never used them b4, u would have no idea what they really are like.

thanks in advance for any help.....GLEN

if your goal is to create pc game backups your best bet is with alcohol 120. you were looking at this prog before, did it not go well for you???

From what I gather GamesXcopy works well with the older protections but can't handle the newer ones.

If you want the best for backing up games look at either Alcohol 120%, as turkey suggested, or BlindWrite5 which I prefer over all others because I've had nothing but great results with it.

    HI GUYS

i tried alcohol 120 to copy/backup race driver 2 and wouldnt do it cos of the copywrite protection, but i saw that gamesXcopy said it does a perfect image, no matter what pc game u copy/backup ????
thats why i ask about this DvdXtreme package and the gamesXcopy from 321studio.com cos for about $160us u get a complete package that will do everything.

ive never heard of Blindwrite5, is it free, or where can i review/get a trial version to try it out.

can i say that i use dvd shrink to copy/backup dvd movies and always get great results, no coasters yet, so im happy to stick with that for a free program, its great.

as for ps2 and pc game copying, well obviously alcohol 120 cant copy some of the current pc games, so who is right about what will and what wont do this.

my nero express wont copy many ps2 games, so i ask again.
    1. what is best for ps2 copy
    2. what is best for pc games copy
is there a program that does both formats perfectly

    thanks again.....GLEN

BTW, i also tried to copy "age of empire" pc game disc yesterday using alcohol 120, wouldnt copy that either, but my brother has backed up other games on my sons pc with alcohol with no problems, maybe its the way i set it up ???

just d/loaded the blindwrite5 tweaker from x-ray software, supposed to be a good plugin for B/L 5, but i need to get B/ 5 to add it.

    Hi,

I'd avoid GamesXcopy not only for the reason I listed above but also for the fact that it's makers are now out of business and it will no longer be updated. SafeDisc and SecuRom are constantly updated so the software used to back them up must also be constantly updated.

As for your troubles with A120 it may have toi do with your hardware. Successful backups of the newer protections is almost entirely dependant on your writer.

What make/model burner are you using?

Can you list the settings you've tried thus far with A120?

BlindWrite5 is hands down my favorite app and well worth the $$. I've not had a single problem with it when backing up the new protections. The last four versions of SafeDisc (2.9, 3.10, 3.15 and 3.20) all backed up without a hitch and work well in all three of my drives. It doesn't get any better than that :)

    HI THERE.

    thanks for your input.
i run liteon LDW-811S dvd burner (its anchient now)
and i have sony DRU-700A D/L durner as well
but neither of these will do the latest pc games so i was told, i cant give u my burn settings just now, ill try another burn today and note the alcohol settings while i set it up, maybe im not doing dsomething right.

BTW, i just got the blindwrite-5 trial on my pc, ill give it a go with a pc game and see how it goes.

anyone tell me what dvd burner i need to get to enable me to copy/backup pc games etc without too many problems.

Either the Plextor PX-708A or the PX-712A. Both are the best DVD burners on the market for backing up PC games. I did Painkiller (SafeDisc 3.20) with my 708A and BW5 with great results - the copy plays in all three of my drives.

If you have the space and want the absolute best drive on the planet for backing up PC games get a Plextor Premium. It has a special write method that is particulary effective at writing SecuRom and is supported in BW5 through Tweaker.

    Hey buddy,

The Lite On 52327S and Asus 5232AS are both inexpensive CD burners that are very good at backing up games so you might have a look at those as well :)
