why does dvdxtreme try to log on to the web every time i open it ? if any one knows you can e-mail me at bigbear028@yahoo.com
I read about this a few times with other products in the Xcopy line in the DVD X Copy forums. It's trying to check for updates. In the past I've used DVD X Copy, DVDXpress, Gold and Platinum but none ever tried to "phone home." But...I'm using a dial-up 56k modem and was always offline. luck-
my dvdxetreme didn't rip until i got the rip 321 patch file.but evey time i go to use it it wants to log on to the web.what will it do if i let it log on to the web... will it desable the rip?
the 321 patch file i used come from xbadboy2.can anyone tell me how to make my e-mail address a link so that people can click on it thanks ?
Connecting to 321 won't disable anything, it just checks for updates Well forum rules states no email addresses. And why do you want people to click on it? If you need to give our your email send it via PM.
It won't harm your 'modified' software - there's no one home at the site it's trying to connect to anyway. And there isn't anyway to make your email address a hyperlink unless it's a website designed email form beginning with "http://www." But as the forum police said, posting your email address is frowned upon. later-
