Hi to all, I have a pixellization problem on my cloned dvd. The strange thing is that the pixellization appears always at the same point of the video. It is not a problem of the master because I'm using clonedvd to regenerate the dvd and I have saved on a directory the results before burn the dvd. The video is ok before burnig it is pixellizated after burn. I have changed dvd, I used an Emtec dvd-rw and a "that's write" dvd-r whith the same results at the same point. I have also compared the two dvd using a File compare utility and the two dvd are exactly the same whith no differences while the same dvd compared whith the saved video's report a lot of differences. My configuration is: Secondary master :asus cd rom 50x udma2 Secondary sleave : pioneer dvdr-106d udma2 1.07 Windows 2k server sp4 1gb ram 2x80 gb hd maxtor mirrored Another strange thing is that I can't rip a dvd using aspi. Thanks in advance for your help
I have had a few problems with some movies doing the same thing. I found that on the couple of movies that this happend on I just ripped it on another program and it has sorted it out. The first time it happend I was using Xcopy, so I switched to Shrink and it was fine. Another time it did it on the origonal Shrink, so I switched to Shrink 3.0 Beta and again, it did not freeze or pixilate. Other than that I cant say much else on that matter, it is an odd one.
Hi, I solved the problem using another burner software. Probably there is an incompatibility problem with my dvd recorder and clonedvd. Infact creating an iso image using clonedvd and then burning this image using nero, any pixellization disapears. I wrote to Elby about this issue in order to investigate and solve in a future release.
I have a Pioneer A05 dvd-r burner. I have had it for about a year. I installed it, everything was working fine and now all of a sudden it's not in my comupter folder. I uninstalled and installed it. I have updated it. I have tried everything. Does anyone have any ideas?
I am having the same problem with pixellization, stutters and stops in the last 25% of a DVD. I am making movie backups using the following setup Hardware Pioneer 106D Ritek G04 with white top Software DVD Decrypter Nero Recode to shrink Nero 6.0.0.23 to burn Everything seems to work OK but then when I try to play a DVD in my DVD player the first 75% seems to work OK but then in the last 25% it craps out. If you are having pixellation then it is most likely the media you are using. Cheap media tends to get pixelation towards the end. Try another brand (better quality) of media with the burning software and if it solves the problem then it is the media. If it doesn't then go get better burning software. Just my 2 cents. edit: I use a Pioneer 105 for most of my dvds and have used Record Now Max for burning after giving up on crappy Nero. Some people have problems with Nero (some don't), so I suggest trying Record Now Max to see if that solves the problem.
Hi, Usually cheaper media produce pixellization or other issue during play, but ritek are one of the best brand of dvd so, I think the problem could be related to the version of nero (now is 6.0.0.2) dvd player problem. I suggest you the following: - Update dvd shrink to latest version - Update nero to latest version - Ricreate the dvd using dvd shrink on hdd - Try to play the film from hdd to se if the pixellizzation is already here. -if ok then Burn a dvd and try to play it using another dvd-player other then your to see if the problem appears at the same point. If the problem is still here try to use another program to rebuild the dvd from ripped copy like recode 2. I'm using ritek dvd whitout any problem on my 106d. I hope this help you
zedzed It is definitely a media issue. Don’t be fooled by the fact that you are using 'Ritek', there has been some problems recently with grade B stuff getting tossed in with the good A grade stuff on certain Ritek brandings and overprints. This is rare however. Best bet if you want to stick with Ritek (just about the best out there normally for low price) is to go to an authorized dealer (any probs, back they go) or go for another grade A brand. At the moment I am using new Goallover 4x white top (G04 type- dark purple dye). I have ripped nearly 100 of these in the last month with NO coasters, and they burn right to the edge! They are cheap as well (not that cheap which is good) at 70p (UK).Also, do not set your target zize bang on what the figure you are told by whaterver program you are running, most of the time I will stick to 4.35gb- 4.375gb just to make sure (bacing up is not an exact science yet)if you do not want to pay to rate for disks. Not connected to the above issue, which version of Shrink are you on? I using 3.1.3 at the moment and cut decrypter and Recode (recode- not that I used it that much anyway) out of the picture. If you have a decent system and you are not one of the rare cases where Shrink is slow or does not work, in my opinion is the best out there for base compression /quality/accuracy of target size you can get. The fact that it is free does not even enter into the fight, I am going on actual performance and actual analysis. The recent updates in shrink are not well documented yet in terms of quality and i am not going to go there but it is VERY GOOD. _ _X_X_X_X_X_[small]The Phantom Baw Flinger stikes again!
