DVR-109 Problem ! - HelpMePlease - !

    Nero keeps telling me that
    "The drive is not initializing - perhaps due to a defective disc"
    Whats wrong and can i fix it and how?

     Try a different disc .. maybe a different brand?

    it has worked fine up till now.
    still using same discs as i was before.
    ive tried flashing with different firmware.
    date drive was purchaced: 6/7/05
