    will my pioneer dvr-109 burn DVD+R
    Driver Version 5.1

    I only ask because I need to backup San Andreas with a +R disc

    yes, the pioneer dvr-109 WILL burn to dvd+r, however, using official pioneer firmware you will NOT be able to booktype the dvd+r to dvd-rom, that requires a bit more "tweaking" w/ modified firmware (buffalo in this case) to enable booktyping~ :)

    but, to answer your question, YES the pioneer dvr-109 DOES burn to dvd+r format~
