e 74 error after update via usb.

i updated my baned offline xbox via usb yesterday after it went through the usual steps it rebooted.
then after the launch screen it went to the e 74 message.
oh SH*T i pluged out the usb stick and thank god it booted up ok.
i tried it 10 more times to be sure and no problems.
my online console was updated through xboxlive so i put the usb stick in after to see if i get the same error.
i did.
and no error when i pluged it out.
any one else have this?
