I called motorola tech support about this problem. Here goes. It's kinda annoying. Whenever this problem arises, unplug the phone from its USB cable. Turn it off and take the battery out. Wait for 5-10 sec. then place the battery back in. Power on the phone and wait for it to initialize. Once it has completed initializing, plug it back into the USB cable. Make sure you hear the connected "beep". Go to Control Panel and dbl. click on Phone and Modem. Click on the Modems tab. Highlight the 1st modem on the list and hit Properties. Hit query modem and this should come up with a bunch of coding mumbe jumbo if the connection is set. If not, repeat from step 1. If so, you're good to go. Open the Mobile Phone tools program(this totally SUCKS!!!!) Enjoy
