First, I had e 74 problem. I Fixed it with xclamp mod and then it went strait to 2 red ring. I can not overheat the things i need to what do I do?

Is it possible that the power supply is not the right one that cuases 2 red?

i have 150w and the MB is 2007 hdmi board..THIS POWER BRICK IS NOT originally from this xbox.

2007 xbox are mostly gonna be FALCON motherboards with need 175watt or 203watt power supplys get one of those. 150w power supplys will not work on them.

i just figure it out. Because the older 360 need 2 washer ( one plastic and one metal), I did that and this was the problem. The newer 360 have diff chip config. While the 2 washer works with the older 360, It will not work with the new 360 so i jsut too off the metal washer.

    now i got 3 red.

Thanks you for your help tho.

p.s. I dont know if you ever do this, but I just cut the plastic peaice in power supply cable so that it would fit the 360 mb plug. It works with my other 360.In addition, it lower the power useage :)

it doesn't automatically lower power usage, it actually puts a strain on the system because it's trying use more power than is available to it with the smaller power supply. This will likely cause a red ring error later. The plastic tabs in the power connectors are there for a reason: all 203w power supplies can be used on any system and will fit. The 150w power supply can only be used on a 150w system.

It doesnt sound like you have the x-clamp fix right either. You should check out the link in my sig, it's a more effective method for fixing e74 and other similar errors than overheating or x-clamp alone. There's also a good bit of info on the x-clamp fix in that thread so your motherboard sits nice and flat too.
