I have a cd that i am not able to create an image with in Exact Audio Copy. The gap before the first track is 0:01:01:36 (more than a minute!). when i press the create image button, the reading starts, and the first line of the error correction box will flash red over and over again until it reaches the point where the first track starts. Then all the lines in the error correction box will go red, and the reading will be aborted. I get a sync error message. The cd is in perfect condition, no scratches (i never use my original cds). I don't think it is a copy protection. The cd is a rare black metal release existing in only 333 copies, and it had to be ordered directly from the band. The band is anti-commercial, and would not bother to add any copy protection. I am also able to make working copies of the cd using nero (by simply using the "copy cd" profile). And i am also able to extract the cd track by track (to wav or mp3) in EAC. Any idea about why i can't make an image of the CD in EAC?
I have never had similar problems and can only guess: - your drive doesn't support "overread into leadin" but you've checked the option - It is copy protected (try "TOC manipulations" - not available in beginner mode (EAC options -> Tools)). - Try burst mode, to get security comparable to secure mode extract 2 times and compare CRCs or do a wave comparison You might want to ask your question at - EAC forum: http://digital-inn.de/forumdisplay.php?f=14 - hydrogenaudio: http://www.hydrogenaudio.org
