hmm simple instruction's for a un simple prog??
well install w/ the full installer double check your path's through settings>>setup
then select your source ie..video files, select which audio & subtitles to keep on each vts!

check that your created woking and output path's are selected.

select which mode (encoder) you wish to use through mode menu, and select any extra reduction ie..10%

enable one click through mode menu and select if you'd want to have an iso file for imgburn/dvdd

    then click on back-up!

might you tell us what is troubling you??

I still don't understand how to use it even after reading the tutorials. I think the source path is where I'm having trouble. I ripped the files using DVD Decrypter File F Mode to a working folder. Then I point the source folder for DVD-RB to that folder. Am I missing a step? This is the error message I get.

Change your temporary file folder to the same as your destination folder. It would be faster if your source folder was on one HDD and your destination and temp on another on another HDD. Also, what movie are you ripping, if it is a newer protected one, use DVDFab Decrypter, this might just be a protection error.

    Get it here http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/software.htm

I would suggest ripping (or moving already ripped files) to a new location as you are using your temporary (working file) as your source. this also may be the source of some confusion =)

I'm trying to back up Star Wars Episode 3. I was able to do it with DVD Decryptor and DVD Shrink and I wanted to test out RB because everyone says it's the best.

I did this one using RB and it came out excellent. Try the suggestions that were given and see if it makes any difference.

I tried that and I get the same message. I looked at the working folder and there is no such VTS_1 file.

These are the files in my working folder:

Are you sure you ripped all your files in F mode of Decrypter, as this does not look like a proper file structure there is no BUP file listed.

Yes. I heard that little tune that sounds when the files are ripped. I did it twice.

I just reopened Decryptor again. Some files were automatically selected and highlighted, but it did not highlight a BUP. When I used Shrink, I didn't do any manual selection of files. These are the files highlighted.

Your settings in Decrypter are wrong, you are ripping in IFO mode, no wonder you cannot do anything with the file. Open Decrypter and go to Tools and then Settings. Choose the File Mode Tab and make sure it reads all in the box. Click okay, exit Decrypter and reopen it and then rip.

Hmm, you've got me confused. Just rip all files to your hdd with dvd decrypter or dvdfab decrypter and then load that folder as the sorce. Make an empty folder for your destination folder and name it something that you can remember.

Here's how I do it, lets say I want to backup Saw 2, the sorce folder after being ripped with dvd decrypter will be SAW_2, then I make a new empty folder and call it SAW 2 CCE and select it as my destination/work path. Note: under mode if you uncheck enable output directory rb will use the same folder for destination and work path. Also if you have more than 1 hdd use 1 hdd for the sorce folder and another hdd for your destination/work path folder.

good deduction arnie this is not ifo mode more likely it's "main movie and ifo" settings in tools>>settings>>file mode>>select_files

like arnie said select all and rerip to the same directory just select no to all when it pop's up and ask's to replace files.

    good luck =)

Thanks so much guys. It was the "main movie and ifo" settings in tools>>settings>>file mode>>select_files" problem. I used this setting for DVD Shrink. It works now. However, I'm testing it out on my stand alone DVD player and there are pauses so far in the beginning. This didn't happen when I copied with Shrink, although I did use 4x with Shrink and 8x with RB.

ok, im using the same package, how can i tell the bitrate that cce is encoding at.

there is a measurement of bitrate on the progress bar screen of cce 2.70 that tells current and average I don't know about basic but I'm assuming it's there as well.

and i take it that this will be shown in dvd rebuilder, using cce as the encoder.
