Is there a place ps2 iso can be downloaded? That would be much better than renting games and burning them.

Let's tone down the piracy references. Your games are backups.

There's plenty of places to download games, check the PS2 FAQ link in my sig.

I heard that game ain't even worth messing with. I would stop messing with this game and just leave it alone. Throw the game and the failed burned copy in the trash. 50 Cent man it's all about that 2pac and Dipset Juelz Santana.

Another question! I patched the original .iso file, but the game is around 4.46GB. I was reading that Swap Magic doesn't work with games over 4.36GB or somethin like that. I've tryed to rebuild it, but it hardly reduces the size. What should I do?

WOW that screenshot kind of weirded me out...err..wow.
Anyway, there looks to be a ton of files in the main directory. A dummy file will usually be called DUMMY.DAT or something of that sort. Do a search on "College Hoops 2K6" on this site or Google. If no one is saying it needs to be rebuilt, then just burn it. You might also need an extra swap, but as long as the TOC (total size) of the game is under 4.6 GB (am I right???) then it will work with SwapMagic v3.6

What's Up!? Thanks for responding. I actually have SwapMagic DVD 2.0 if that makes a difference. I've been able to play every game except College Hoops 2K6. The weird thing is that NBA 2K6 (made by the same company) works perfectly. I've tried to rebuild the file, but all it does it go from 4.47GB to 4.45GB and it doesn't work. I've tried to patch (DNAS) it and it still doesn't work. I mean it will show the blue screen when I load it with SwapMagic DVD 2.0 and then just turn dark. What should I do? I also searched if College Hoops 2K6 had any dummy files, but nothin came up. Are companies gettin smarter and maybe renaming their dummy files somethin different to make it less obvious? Any programs that can further compress the file? Thanks!

What's Up!? Here's the update. I actually got it to run on my PS2 succesfully, but then it just stopped working. Even when it worked it was somewhat slow. The .iso I burned was about 4.45GB (reduced from 4.47GB) and I followed all the steps to rebuilding (DVD Decrypter->IsoBuster->Extract->CV/DVD Generator 1.5->Export->Gnie's .IML Converter Program->Burn .ISO using DVD Decrypter). My DVD+R is Maxell brand and can burn up to 8x, but DVD Decrypter max burns it at 2.4x. Could the burning speed be the issue? I mean I've burned other games, but all of them have been under 4GB, so College Hoops 2K6 is the biggest by far. Any suggestions on smoother loading?

Using the Expert GNIES Rebuild, I got to the end of the instructions, and it says to burn the ISO with DVD Decrypter. Previously, for non-rebuilds, I've selected the MDS. Do I selct the MDS for the burn or the ISO file itself.

    Thanks.

Select the final ISO that you created via the rebuild.

Hi guys, im a noob at rebuilding but have done a good job at backing up many games. But the nightmare i've encountered is METAL GEAR SOLID 2: SUBSTANCE PS2. I've tried nearly EVERYTHING! Nero Burning Rom method Gnie's Expert v1.03 rebuilding method and I gave up on the 2 disc guide method with hexing and CD/DVD Generator. After i finished Hexing i used CD/DVD Generator 1.5 to build. When i click record the DAMN program says "THE RECORDING UNIT IS NOT CONNECTED"
WTF!!!???? I've checked other threads and everyone who's got to back this game up refuses to help solve this problem for people like me tryin to burn MGS2S PLEASE HHHHHHEEEEEELLLLPPPP!!!!!

Just in case if anyone tells me that i need the WNASPI32.DLL file within the CD/DVD Generator program files directory, i already did that, the program now detects my PHILIPS DVD+RW DVD8601 but i still get the damn RECORDING UNIT IS NOT CONNECTED
    RECORDING UNIT IS NOT CONNECTED
    RECORDING UNIT IS NOT CONNECTED
    IM GONNA GO NUTZ
    HEEEEEEEELLLPPPP! lol

You get two errors with CD/DVD Gen after clicking Record.

After those errors, you click File/Export IML.

Give your file a name, or leave as default.

Once the IML's are created, use IML2ISO to put those IML files into a new ISO file.

To do that, open IML2ISO, and point to the folder your IML's were extracted to. It will automatically pick the correct one. Click start.

    Burn the final ISO.

    Enjoy your game.
