i just got a ipod video, and been reading up on the mods that can be done. and just finished downloading the software needed to do this (via LethalB tutorial, thanks btw)

but got a few quick questions:

    - the updater, is it like 52 MB and named "iPodSetup 1.0", just wanted to make sure i got the right thing.

-also there was mention if one ever wanted to return to the un-moded ipod all you have to do is to up load the unchanged updater, is this correct? if so then it would be wise to keep a copy of the orignial "iPodSetup 1.0" right?

    thanks for the help

    That is indeed correct. :)

Most definitely. Keep a clean backup in a safe location, and if you ever want to restore your iPod back to its factory state, you can do so.

    Happy iPodding.

so when using the IPW, your changing the ipodSetup file with new pics then right? IPW just uses whatever ipodSetup file you choose to "load".

so if you wanted too, you could keep several moded ipodSetup files each with a different theme embeded into them.

    Does this sound right?

also do you need to use ihack?

ive read somewhere that people are "downgrading" there ipod using the IPW then just upgrading using the updater.

you can use the downgrade button too, however, some versions of iPW don't have that option.
