Ive been thinking bout getting a video capture card for quite some time now so that i can rip my movies and TV shows off of my DVR and put them on DVD. When ever i do a search on the web for cap. cards, EasyCAP comes up A LOT and i checked it out on eBay and its not a bad price plus you get a professional program to go along with it. So what i need to know from the after dawn community is: Is this a good buy? Is it good enough quality to put it on a DVD? Does it lag? So if you all would be so kind to give me the basic Pros and Cons and Rate this baby on a scale form 1 to 10(10 being the best of course) Thanks for reading and thanks for helping me out(you all who do ;])
yes get it!I got mine from ebay in the mail like 2 days ago I had to wait 12 anxious days but it's worth the wait!!good price as well!!it's very easy 2 setup and the quality is extremely good almost perfect and no lag what so ever it with the video studio which is ulead! I use the movie wizard instead of the video editor and it's great with vcr, dvd,or ps2 etc..basically anything with the red, yellow and white cables it picks up great!!so I recommend it!!if u get it u can ask if u have any probs
So have you ever tried to put your captured video back on to a DVD? And tell me some bad stuff about it, the cons.
yes I have like I played my ps2 using ulead video wizard which comes with the easycap and captured it and saved it to a disc and it turned out great!!The only bad thing I could think of is that when u install it it kinda freezes up ur computer and when u try 2 capture it and it was lil laggy during capturing as well but it depends on what capture software u use and how good ur computer's performance is!
I just purchased Easy Cap, and at the moment, there is nothing easy about it I finally got it to work, however the files are HUGE. Just 20 minutes into the video it took all of my disk space (40GB HD). And I am driving myself crazy trying to figure out how to lower the quality, and hence, the size! I bought Easy Cap so I can keep a handful of videos (5 or so), we are moving overseas and I just dont see the need to lug over a VHS payer and 5 (going obsolete) video's. I'd replace them on DVD but they are either 1) way too expensive or 2) don't come in dvd format. Help? Pretty please?
If you want to buy easycap it’s a good one and cheap too I have used Dazzle and Snazzi and now using this one on MAC and it’s perfect. If you can buy DC60+ That's the latest and improved for VISTA and MAC. Previous models had problems with recording Game consoles and this model uses different chipset
