Hey all, I got Stargate Atlantis Season 1 on DVD. I was able to convert the first dvd to avi. However, it's just one big movie. What i would like to do is take that Season 1 Disc 1 Avi and make a seperate AVI for each episode. Can anyone recommend a way to do this? I tried Windows Movie Maker, but it doesn't work....just errors out all the time. Also, is there any easy way to do this in the future while i'm ripping the dvd so that i can basically just rip one episode off the dvd ata time and convert it to AVI? Thanks all.....not sure if this is the right place for this.....Thanks.
Just use virtualdub to open your 1 big AVI and edit out each episode and choose "Direct Stream Copy" under the video and audio pull down menus so you don't have to reencode the video.
