Edited VOBs won't merge with eachother (IFO problem?)

    Hey guys,

    I'm on a mac firstly.
Here's my problem; I had 6 roughly 25 minute mkv files. My goal is to take these 6 episodes and merge them together so they would seem like a fairly seamless movie. I converted them all into vobs first and then trimmed out the intros and ending credits from the vobs using MPEG Streamclip. Here's where the problem comes in; When the editing is done and I save the file, it gives me a new vob so the original stays intact, however, because it's just a vob by itself, it doesn't have a new IFO to go with it.

Now, I'm assuming that I have to rename the vobs in an order, put them in the same VIDEO_TS folder and then edit the IFO to play them correctly, but I don't understand how to do this. It seems like something that I could have easily found searching the net, but I haven't really found any useful information on it. I've also tried putting all 6 vobs into Toast and burning them, but it gets hung up on the encoding process. I've tried replacing the original vob with the edited vob, but they don't work correctly since the IFO is set to work with the origianl and it causes the dvd app to crash. I've tried joining them, but again, no correctly corresponding IFO means no joining.
