Is there a program that I can use to easily crop a wmv file? I've got a home video (no, not pr0n) that is 10 mins long... I only want from 7:00 - 8:30. I know VirtualDub will work w/ other formats but can it do WMV? Do I need to convert the files into another format? If so which? (avi, mpg)? Thanks.
VirtualDub with the appropriate plugin plus FFdshow will handle .wmv files. Using VirtualDub v1.7.6 and the WMV plugin (in the Vdub 'plugins' folder. Just to be clear (and I think you know for anyone seeing this thread, VirtualDub saves files in AVI format using appropriate video and audio codecs (DivX, XviD, Lame MP3) which are installed separately.
