Bought the Sony 101E DVD camera last Novermber and all I got was a dysmal "Image mixer" editing program. As a film student I need something more advanced to work on, and I scoured the web for weeks, looking for editing software which works for my camera. All in vain unfortunately. And to make things even more frustrating,Sony never thought of putting a handy firewire connection on the camera, so I'm stuck with USB2. For this I need a high-speed USB connection which many computers (Like my own) unfortunately don't have. Therefore I'm asking you guys if you know any programme which would work with my camera. I did find a way to, sort of, get around it on my own computer at home, but now I'm living away from home and need to use the computers at college. Perhaps there is an extension from USB to Firewire? Any advice would be much appreciated, Thanks in advance.
I have a Sony dvd camcorder myself. If you have recorded in video but not vr mode, then things would be pretty simple: Just insert the mini dvds into the dvd rom of the pc and edit from there, treating the mini dvds like regular dvds. Remember that size apart, they are no different. So what works for regular dvds (e.g. Shrink, Decrypter, Nero) also works for mini dvds. Happy mini dvd editing!
