Hi Fokes. I`m having problems with edonkey and emule. When i add files, the grath goes blue telling me that all the parts have been found but they dont down load anything. Both client just sit there static. Ive got 1meg internet and my isp is pipex. Ive done a bandwidth test which comes back at over 1.5 meg and ive checked my firewall. Does anyone have any ideas cos this ones got me stumped.
Check your sources, you are probably in queues. My advice is to download say 10-15 things at once. Put everything in catagories, set it to start the next download when one completes and then just leave it. After a couple of days you should start to get decent speeds and with the catagories/autostarting it requires no user interaction.
ive had to go back to the earlyest version of edonkey. Its working fine now. Stupid thing is, if i go back to the new version i still get the problem. Even if i put a load of down loads on it and leave it for a while, it doesn`t wanna know
I tried the new version and it was not good as the old one you are right the new version takes forever to download when the older version was fine with me so im back using it even thu it takes some time to download but it is better than the new.
Well I use emule. No problems with the current version or any recent ones. No ads or anything either. You don't get overnet (don't get that either with older edonkey), but you do get Kad instead.
