edonkey filled with spyware?

    has edonkey got spyware or viruses?
    im thinking of getting it but i dont know what its like.
    i've used it once in the internet cafe.

    does it still have that bundled software with it now.
    that savenow one i think it was called.

    Spyware? Could be going a bit far. Adware more like it. There is always emule and amule though. Both opensource and without spyware, adware, etc. You lose Overnet, but you gain Kad, plus a lot more. Like emule now supports Protocol Obfuscation.

    so should i use emule?
    and has that got any spyware or any other problems

    eMules itself is clean, give it a go.

    What may be on there could be infected, so watch what you download!

    Look at comments, file sizes and the amount of people who have already downloaded it.

    eMule would probably be your best bet as far as a clean p2p ed2k client goes. But if your dead stuck on getting emule there is a "lite" version available. I tried it once and it didnt seem to install anything bad (virus,spyware,etc). if you want it i believe the link is fslite.com

    whats the difference between the lite version and the proper one?
