Okay so heres my story: Put an X3 into my xbox which we'll call xbox1 and threw in a 320 Gig HD we'll call HD1, everything worked just fine but the actual xbox had some issues (DVD Drive didn't work). My friend asked me to do his too (xbox2) and as everyone knows, its difficult to find an X3 anymore so I basically told him I'd sell him my chip and put in a 120gig HD into it we'll call HD2. My brother wanted his xbox (xbox3) modded and I basically told him he could have mine softmodded with a 60 gig (HD3) I had laying around and I would take his and put HD1 in it and softmod it as well so I had a modded fully functional xbox with HD1 in it. So I took HD1 out of xbox1 and put in HD3 and installed ndure and locked the drive and pulled the chip out and all was well. I then took the X3 out of xbox1 and put it in xbox2 and put in HD2 and all was well. I then hooked up HD1 to Xbox2 with the X3 in it and found out that it was locked (I didn't think I locked it but hey ya live and learn right). So I figured I could pull the eeprom off of xbox1 and flash it to xbox2 (backing up the eeprom is xbox2 this time) and it would read HD1, which as anyone who knows much about the eeprom wouldn't work because I don't have the key for HD1 because I thought the key was based solely upon the xbox, and I didn't back it up before installed HD2 and locking it. So does anyone have any creative ways short of HDD Unlock Wizard to unlock HD1 or is there a trick since I technically have the xbox mobo that locked it?
when you turn the xbox on does it get red lights? just red lights? if so what version xbox is it? i might be able to email you an eeprom that i made.
