elder scrolls IV: Oblivion

    i just bought oblivion and i was wondering if it runs on windows 2000. also is oblivion one of those games that u can use an xbox controller with when u plug it into ur computer???

    I don't think it will run on 2000, XP is your best bet. Why don't you just look at the box, it should say on the bottom somewhere.

    ok i am having problems with Oblivion (forget the controller for now) when i play it and start a new game the game freezes and shuts down in the middle of the first cut scene. it tried to uninstall so i could reinstall it but i get error -5001

    Orgignally Bethasda said tat FX was supported,
    but it has been reported fo fail massive,
    But can be fixed.


    What video card and setting are you using?
    Sounds like a graphics rendering issue,
    You can get it work on older video cards,
    But you have to replace the shaders and force 1x shader mode.

    I had to get the latest Nvidia drivers on my card to get this game to work. I update reasonably regularly too!
