    Hello all,

I have been performing fresh installs of Windows XP Pro for years on this PC with no troubles. Now, I am experiencing driver issues with USB/ USB2 (I think) - I am trying to connect a Wireless G network adapter but my system doesn't recognize the device anymore.

Up till these last two installs (today and Wednesday) I have never had any issues. Yes, I am using the same exact hardware and OS. The only difference is... Since Microsoft started windows authentication/ I had to download and use the Service Pack 2 software from a third party download site. Don't remember which site, but did not experience any anomalies during installation/ update and received successful update indicators.

Does anybody out there know what I am doing wrong?

    New Installation Procedure:

Low level format - wrote zeros
Fresh format/ install - Windows XP Pro
    Install - Service Pack 2
Test wireless connectivity - the device is not being recognized!

    So what are you asking...??

    *Your having driver issues?
    *Your having USB issues?
*You can't connect to your router?
*Asking if your 3rd party download of SP2 messed things up?
