Hi…just received the CECT P168. Amazing. Have used all the Internet, SMS, MMS, & email settings for my Tmobile account and get the message “DNS Server No Response” when trying to check email. Suggestions to correct error appreciated. Thanks, bob
That's your pop3 email you must set it up like this::::: Email Setting On The CECT P168 Menu Email Email Profile Email profile Choose a profile And name T-mobile mail or Whatever Edit Profile name : T-Mobile Email Data Account : GPRS / T-mobile Wap Protocol : POP3 Check Interval : OFF Download Size : 102400 hit Done And Save. Outgoing Server :myemail.t-mobile.com Port : 25 Incoming Server :myemail.t-mobile.com Port :110 User Name: Type the User ID from the My E-mail POP Settings Web page. Password: Type your password for this e-mail account. Let me know how it went. I use mine all the time it works great slow but great
I have a question for you, i can receive emails but i cannot send. any help would be great. i have comcast and i thought the outgoing would have to be smtp.comcast.net with my username and password.
Guys the Email part of the P168 does not and will never work. Reason is missing the protocol Called (HDCT) High Data Compression Transfer) The cineese left that out i think they forgot how we Americans use the internet. Anyway is missing it and that's why many of our p168 Goes into reset mode when you try to send please visit my site for answers. http://cectsupport.ning.com/ Thank you sincerely: Cecttechsupport
FYI TZones ($5.99 plan) works just fine on the CECT P168. You can use it to access your email. It was difficult to get the settings correct. TMobile had no clue what they should be however picking a similar phone (selecting Motorola MOTORIZR Z3 as the phone type) and using the auto configurator via the web worked. bob
Hello! I know to set it you have to go "menu" then "email" but when I go into menu, "Email" is not an option. What to do, please and thanks!!
