I have an piece of poop: Emerson EWR20V5. Before I demolish it and make a youtube video of the process, maybe someone can help me. Read a thread all the way back to 2004 in which the disks were discussed and one that said that it could only read 1x speed. So after spending the entire afternoon looking for one I found DVD+RW 1x-4x and again it said. Disk error E24 or something. I've tried the 8x the minus R, the RW the +RW and -Rw. It does not like any of the disks. Do you think it could be a wrong connection. It is hooked up to a flatscreen toshiba. Hope someone knows something. Thanks
Hi Hani, Can't solve your problem, have enough of my own! My 8x disc seem to be working OK.....I just can't seem to get it to record from an external source (camborder) I get audio, but no video. My camcorder came with 1 set of cords....1 audio, 1 video. When I try to record, i just get a black/gray screen. The manual doesn't explain well how to hook up an external source (IMO) So should the cords be plugged into the VCR.DVD combo or the TV> Sorryt to be a PIZ
Thanks Purrdy... sorry you have those problems. Mine was finally solved when I used a - (minus) disk. Now it records fine. Can't help you with the cords. don't give up, sometimes it's a really simple solution.
