empty dvdr

    there's this dvd which wrote recently. after that when i tried to open it, it was empty and said 0 bytes free but the drive showed no files. but when i opened it in nero all the files were present but couldnt do anything with it( was not able to copy, play, etc.). whats wrong with my dvdr please help

    The only thing that I can think of is that the dvd isnt finalyzed or when you wrote it it didnt do it correctly and you must rewrite it.

    Tell us what programs and versions you used, the media brand and type, the speed you burned, the brand of burner, internal/external, etc.

    nero 6.3.1.17. at 6x speed on a Mouser Baer DVD+R with a
    Pioneer-RW DVR-108. they are six divx files.

    This probelm could be the result of so many things--corrupted divx files, bad media, conflicting software, hardware problem, etc.

    Try again using RW media and see what happens. There's no point in making coasters. RW volumes don't need finalizing so we'll bypass that problem for the time being.
