I have a question? Is it possible to put more than on emulator on a disk and select which one you want to start. also i have a modded ps2 so i can play cd-r's
hello yes it is,i have a copy with variuos emu's on it,only 2 of them work though as the maker messed up the main elf file i got it from newsgroups

About the PGEN 1.2/PS2Mame emu for the PS2, I'd like to find out if... -You need a boot disk for this emulator(My Slimline is modified) -if one need to install the roms/emulator on the PS2 hard disk(Which I do not have..I think) -is there a manual for burning roms ect. using Nero StartSmart/Nero Express 6. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanx.
You need a boot disk for this emulator(My Slimline is modified)? Yes you need a bootdisk call swap magic but if your ps2 is modified and reads dvd+-r and cd-r you don't need the swap magic. -if one need to install the roms/emulator on the PS2 hard disk(Which I do not have..I think)? if you mean by putting the emulator with roms into the harddrive no you don't have to you can burn it on a blank dvd or a cd-r -is there a manual for burning roms ect. using Nero StartSmart/Nero Express 6? you need the nero burning rom

Speakin of Emus.. There is a Nes rom called 190in 1 (it has 190 games in one cartridge) I cant find it anywhere online.... all of them are fake and has like 10 games repeating forever. I happen to have the original cartridge that works cuz i used to play it on my famicom when i was little. And its not the fake cuz it has 190 games for reals. Anyone know how ppl make actual cartridges into rom files? I would like to know. Mods... if this is violating a forum rule (piracy) then dont ban/suspend me as i know not better. Just delete it. i just spend like 2 hours reading all 15+ pages. maybe I missed something, because I am still stuck. My setup is PS2 with fliptop & swap magic 3.6 disks The DVD swapmagic works fine with backups on DVD+R, but for some reason the swapmagic CD disk doesnt load. It wasnt a big deal since I have few backups with CD format. [bold]I am trying to get my MAME Roms to play on PS2[/bold]. I got PS2 mame and followed instructions at http://www.richpsx.com/playstation2/utilities/ps2mame.html burned in ISO format to DVD+R and 2nd attempt to CD-R. I read about some boot swapper that was supposed to allow you to boot with Magic DVD disc and play CD-R's. Well that didnt work either. Though it could be easier to buy a joystick and play on PC, I want the full size of TV monitor, and the ability to take with me wherever the PS2 goes.(not a cheezy laptop). If anyone has successfully got MAME to work on PS2 please post details. Thanks.
well congratulations! care to elaborate just alittle? What programs and methods? CD or DVD swapper? What burning software? appreciate it is someone that gets Mame on PS2 to work, could actually say HOW they did it.
i used the link you gave,it was pretty straight forward downloaded ps2cdgen and the emulator downloaded 10 roms,(left them zipped up) entered the names in the ROM folder i made,in CAPS,minus the .rar extension changed the LBA as instructed loaded all the files into ps2cdgen/made the image and then burnt the image with alcohol 120 in ps2 mode onto a cd disk @ x 4 i have a modchip i am not entirely sure whether these emulators are bootable with swapmagic to be honest,that might be your problem
thanks for the info! havent tried burning with alcohol, in "PS2 mode". perhaps I will try (if I can locate the app). can you see if it works on a DVD+R as well? I cant run CD's as my CD swap disc doesnt load. That could be the problem too. wondering if anyone with DVD swap disc got mame with ps2 to work?
ok i cleaned the ps2 lens, and now i am able to boot to swapmagic CD. However still can not get the mame disc to play. The Swapmagic boot screen says "Not a valid PS2 disc". :-(
