Which emulators run best on ps3 -nes -snes -genesis etc. Wants the easier way to get them to work? USB or Linux How do you run Linux to get emulators to work?
If you have an old 20/60gb, you can use PS2-based emulators with a swapmagic or USB extreme disk. Otherwise, use linux. There are a couple of PS3-compatable emulators...but they are all first versions and super-buggy...and they only work from bluray; not USB.
The only practical way to play Emulators on a non slim PS3 is via Linux. If you have money to waste, you can burn the Nes BD-J emulator to a Blu Ray disc and play it that way. 1.Download and instal PS3 Ubuntu http://psubuntu.com/ 2.Download one of the various Emulators, like this one http://psubuntu.com/super-nintendo-emulation-on-psubuntu/ 3.Anything below a PS1 emulator will run, the likes of N64 and higher wont run.
I actually prefer The ZeroGame Project myself for an "all in one" Emulator package specifically made for YDL. And it's always expanding to other consoles with each revision/release these are some of the few that are in the works
The ZGP is literally made by 1 guy making an all in one package on his own free time. I just read this posting from ZeroJay about the 32x ~ Also from my understanding he's a programmer/dev or something like that for a gaming company, who also has a family and his time is limited but his desire isn't. The app is only @ v.50 and he is always adding/fixing features...it just takes a bit longer. That's okay with me as I like ZGP specifically for what he says in the "about page" ~
