I'm still having slow downloads after almost 2 weeks it should be much faster now..I took the advice of making a porn folder, I'm now sharing well over 100 large files (not all porn lol) and plenty of smaller files..but still the upload is always much faster than the downloads..I may as well just cancel the downloads and just let people upload from me...it rarely goes much more than 8kbs..plenty of sources etc. (as I'm typing upload is 19kb/s and download is 1.2kb/s

I understand what everyones been saying about all the dependancies of how I should be using it etc...but I'm doing everything that I think is expected to gain faster downloads..it just doesn't happen..

the only thing I can think of is the "connection" settings...I'm on 600k broadband through cable tv box...the only option in the connections preferences that is "cable" which gives the download capacitiesand limits as 128kb/s, and the upload capacities as 48kb/s and limits at 44kb/s (emule plus btw)

its getting abit rediculous now, lol what the fudge am I doing wrong?

 

i dont no, i was getting shity speeds of emule plus (bout 2 to 40) very eratic mostly low tho, why dont u try mIRC? i am getting file down at 46kbps

I stopped using emule a while back (got captured, lol), ran off to IRC, never looked back, nearly always get max speed, me like !!

I just downloaded mirc...tried to follow the guide....pffft....back to emule lol

 

MartMart, go into emule and do what Mattrage told me to do then you can get all the help you need in setting up mIRC.... its much better then emule

I followed the instructions and keep getting this message underneath where you type. This is in the emule IRC. I Downloaded mIRC last night and tried to follow instructions.


"IRC SCOKET: FAILED TO CONNECT-ERROR 11004...THE REQUESTED NAME IS VALID AND WAS FOUND IN THE DATABASE, BUT IT DOES NOT HAVE THE CORRECT ASSOCIATED DATA BEING RESOLVED FOR"

Need some emoticons me thinks..they do serve a purpose! imo and from past experience they are essential in any forum. :-|

loner: I managed to get into the #ad buddies thing in mIRC...lol...I think. Not sure if I've done it properly but I'm in somewhere..no one is there though. I'll wait around for a while before I go to bed but come to me if you can...erm...not to bed ...the mirc thingy.
