    Hello

To make backups of my movies i use DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter.

When i go in Shrink.. Open Edit -> preferences -> under File I/O tab; there's a box "Enable overlap I/O - this might increase the ripping performances".

Does increasing the ripping performances increases the quality of the image i'll get from my backups?

If not, what does that option means?

    Thanks

Do not know what the option means, but in answer to your earlier question.............

Increasing ripping speeds does not increase quality........

The slower, the better..........unless your dvdrom can rip at higher speeds - but you will find there is no quality difference between a high speed rip and a low speed rip............
