Encoding Movies with DivX

    How do u encode movies with divx??

    Can someone please tell me step by step how to do it with divx. I have the latest 5.0.2 Pro Bundle.

    Also does encoding, then re-encoding movies make them better quality??

    Re-encoding and encoding in general, always makes the quality worse. All video encoding methods that are used regularly, are "lossy" which means that they lose some data of the video in order to make it fit into a smaller size -- this includes DivX (MPEG-4), MPEG-1 (VCD) and MPEG-2 (SVCD and DVD).
