    Hi,
Hope this is in the right place.

I have a canon hd camcorder and it records in MTS file format.
I was asked for a copy of a file, for a person to watch on a pc.
Doubt if this person has pc with the capability of playing mts files.

Whats the best format to change this to ?
I have Pinnacle and Nero for to do this, but is there easier/better software out there ?

    Any other ideas ?

    Thx

    K

mts are mpeg files, all you need to do is change the type to mpeg. Example video.mts , change it to video.mpeg this will play on any media players that plays mpegs. You might have to go into folder option and uncheck the box that says "hide extensions for know file types".

If the file is very large you can compress it down to a avi. Any program that can convert mpegs should work.
