i'm having trouble making my avi's to dvd(vob). it was goin fine when i would use winavi to convert my avi files to dvd but now things are being problematic. after converting them i would preview it and the picture is all messed up. the picture is out of whack and there are lines that go from left to right on the screen. i dont kno what happened. i had convertxtodvd but i deleted that and i just upgraded my nero to nero 7. but i cant figure out the problem.

First make sure you have installed the codec for avi file, then try to play the file on your pc to see if it ok.After these,do the conversion again, and you'd best use v7.7.

the avi plays fine on my computer its just the encoding when i try to convert avi to dvd with winavi 7.7. and when i tried to add the vobs to nero to make a menu and everything the video would be distorted and even with winavi when i previewed it it was distorted as well.

So you mean this after conversion the video had been distorted? How do you mean about "distorted" ?

distorted as in the picture will look like a tv trying to get reception on it. thats how distorted it was or better yet like a cable channel like a cable channel you didnt order and its scrambled.

    Oh,it's unfortunately.I guessed that if you meant the picture upside down.But i think i'm wrong. : (
Maybe you need to email to supporter of winavi, they may help you fix that. And i guess maybe something wrong about the codec of video.or you can change the target format to "PAL" or "NTSC" for a try.Wish useful
